On old NC 49, just southwest of Asheboro, there is a barbecue restaurant. It is called Silo’s. I wonder if they named it after this picturesque farm located right behind it. Asheboro is located in the Uwharrie Mountains, a small, eroded, ancient chain. Our home is located in the hills you can see in the background.
